Reflecting the Light and Life of Christ

The Wesley Foundation, United Methodist Campus Ministry... that's our goal! We invite you to join us at the Wesley Foundation. We're located right on Jamestown Road, across from Barksdale field and the Jamestown dorms, next to Williamsburg United Methodist Church.

The Wesley Foundation is the United Methodist campus ministry. We meet every Sunday at 5:00 for our large group worship services and dinner. If large group isn't for you, check out the many small groups! We have monthly service opportunities and several social events each semester. The Wesley Foundation is a positive and uplifting Christian community and gives you a home away from home while at college! Need help getting here, or just want to get some more information? Contact us by phone or email.

Welcome Max Blalock and Family!!

The Wesley Foundation has a new campus minister!

The Reverend Max Blalock comes to us from the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church and most recently served two years as pastor at Oakmont UMC in Homewood, AL, until his June appointment to Taylorville UMC in Tuscaloosa, AL.  In addition to his years as a pastor, Max brings a strong background in campus ministry as the College Minister at Union College in Barbourville, KY, from 2000-2003 and then as Campus Minister/Director at the Wesley Foundation at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS, from 2003-2005.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Religion and History from Birmingham-Southern College in AL in 1987 and his M.Div. from Claremont School of Theology in CA in 1994.  He also earned a certificate in Youth and Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1999.  He was ordained as a full elder in the Alabama Conference in 2000.

Max, his wife Becky, and son James have just arrived in Williamsburg.  There is a banner hanging outside of Max's office at the Wesley House.  If you have a welcome message to add to the banner, please come by the House and sign it, or send it to Dave Keel (dskeel@email.wm.edu) and he will add it for you.
