This Week (10/24-10/30)

  • Large Group: Ciders & Skeletons(10/26): Dress up in your favorite halloween costumes for Large Group at Wesley this Sunday (if you want to)! We’ll be watching a halloween movie of your choice - so check the GroupMe - while drinking apple cider and a free meal from Karen of the Wesley Board. We’ll be starting at 5:00 PM and ending at 6:00, at the Wesley House per usual.
  • Small Group: Marcus J. Borg (10/27): Our SG leader Eira is hosting this semester’s Wesley Small Group every Monday from 5:00-6:00 PM. The focus is on Marcus J. Borg’s Convictions: How I Learned What Matters Most, wherein Borg recounts what underscored the foundations for his faith: hope and transformation. This week’s chapter is number 8,  “The Bible Is Political”.
  • NO ROAMING HOURS THIS WEEK
  • Raft Debate (10/28): The Raft Debate is one of W&M’s most iconic (and hilarious) traditions, a blend of laughter and lecture where professors from different disciplines argue for why theirfield deserves to escape on the last raft from a deserted island for the sake of humanity. Meanwhile, the Devil’s Advocate argues that no one should survive! And for those who watched last year, the Squid is back by popular demand. It's at 6:30 PM in the Commonwealth Auditorium at Sadler! (NO WORSHIP THIS WEEK)
